About Us
Hi! My name is Maysha Dawson, and I teach elementary kids in northern Virginia. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I used some of my time during quarantine to help my little three-year old Claire learn to read. After just a few months, she was reading simple books on her own! Some of my friends who were struggling helping their kids learn to read asked me for some help. So... I decided to make this website, with the help of my brother, to share some fun learning activities so that parents anywhere can help their little ones get an early start before school. All parents love their children and want them to have their best chance at being successful in school, and it all begins with reading. I believe your child can learn to read and that you can teach them with the right tools. Claire Reads offers free activities and printables for you to do with your child at home to get them reading at home.
