Beginning Sound Boxes

Beginning sound boxes are a great way to practice an important pre-reading skill! This activity takes seconds to prep and a few minutes to complete. This printable can be cut in half so your child is only working on 5 items. at a time. Using magnetic letters (or alphabet stickers), match the letter with the beginning sound of each word. I recommend putting this printable on a metal surface sand using magnetic letters hold in place. Alphabet stickers also work very well! See my example at the bottom of the page.
