The printable activity below is a fun way to help your child learn the difference between letters and words. It is also a quiet, solo activity for your kiddo - that is if you are comfortable letting them use scissors on their own! Print the two pages below and have your child cut out and glue the letters and words into the correct column on the first page.

It is important for children to recognize and became familiar with the difference between letters and words before they start memorizing their letters. They will probably pick up on this as you read stories to them every day, but this activity can help solidify that as well as introduce them to individual letters.
