Glow Words

This was the first time my child has seen black lights and she was absolutely thrilled with this activity! Watching the words glow made this little girl grin. This is a great activity for reviewing sight words that your child already is familiar with, as they will need to write the words. When recording this video, Claire was just learning to write her letters, so you can tell this was challenging for her little hands. If needed, you can write the words for you child and ask them to read them using a glow flashlight. Either way, it is guaranteed to be a fun time!

For this activity, have your child practice writing sight words using highlighters. Then, turn the lights off and use a blacklight flashlight to make the words glow as your child reads them aloud.
