If you're looking for an easy sight word activity to set up and keep the kids entertained, shaving cream is an excellent ingredient for both play and sight word practice! Your kid will make a masterpiece of sight words all over your bath tub tile. Every kid I know loves the texture of shaving cream and versatility of painting with it, so let's add a twist by having them write their sight words with it! I guarantee your child will will have at least 30 minutes of sensory fun that she will want to do over and over again.

Place some shaving cream into a cup and have your child spread it onto a wall in the bathtub.. they will love this part! I added a drop of food coloring for extra fun! Then, show or tell them a sight word for them to write on the shaving cream. I highly recommend doing this in a bath tub, but this can also be done on a baking sheet.. but skip the food coloring!
